This December, join us in Washington, D.C. for a gathering of progressive state legislators from across the nation!
At the conference, SiX will connect lawmakers with their colleagues from all 50 states to discuss the past legislative session, share best practices, and prepare for a productive year in 2017. Come explore policy ideas, discuss pressing issues that state legislatures are facing, and expand your knowledge and skill set in workshops, briefings, and other issue-oriented gatherings.
Registration for the SiX Legislator Conference is now open.
While legislators may still register to attend the conference, the deadline to apply for travel scholarship and hotel accommodations closed on November 17th. SiX cannot guarantee scholarship and hotel accommodations to anyone that registers at this point.
Legislators interested in receiving hotel accommodations and travel scholarships who register after the November 17th deadline can be placed on a waitlist in the event of cancellations.
The pre-registration window closed at the end of the day on August 31st.
SiX will be hosting a day-long program for new legislators. SiX welcomes legislators who just recently won a seat in the November election and those who have been elected to office through a special election in the past year.
The new legislator bootcamp will start on the evening on Saturday, December 3rd and will run throughout the day on Sunday, December 4th. Those legislators will then participate in the full conference program that begins on Sunday evening.
Registering for the new legislator bootcamp will also include registration for the main SiX Legislator Conference program. You do not need to fill out an additional ticket for the main conference.
While legislators may still register to attend the bootcamp and conference, the deadline to apply for travel scholarship and hotel accommodations closed on November 17th. Legislators interested in receiving hotel accommodations and travel scholarships who register after the November 17th deadline can be placed on a waitlist in the event of cancellations.
SiX provides scholarships to cover legislators’ travel to and from the conference. Scholarships are reserved for state legislators (including those new legislators participating in the New Legislator Bootcamp) who participate in the entirety of the conference program. Travel scholarships are non-transferable.
Legislators who registered during the pre-registration window – which closed on August 31st – are eligible for a travel scholarship of up to $400.00. Legislators who registered on or after September 1st and before November 17th are eligible for scholarships of up to $350.00.
The deadline to apply for travel scholarship closed on November 17th. SiX cannot guarantee scholarship for anyone that registers at this point. However, legislators interested in receiving travel scholarships who register after the November 17th deadline can request through the conference registration form to be placed on the waitlist for scholarship in the event of cancellations.
