In 2017, we started our new State Director model based on what we heard from legislators: they need long-term strategy and resources that reflect the unique and ever-changing dynamics on the ground in their state. We currently have State Directors in eleven states: AZ, CO, NV, WA, MI, ME, MD, PA, VA, NC, and FL. This model has proved to be hugely impactful in these states. By focusing resources on-the-ground in state capitols rather than in Washington, D.C., SiX is bringing essential tools and supports where we know legislators need them most.
We are committed to supporting legislators who are working to: strengthen our democracy, fight for working families, advance reproductive freedom, defend civil rights and liberties, and protect the environment.
