This act focuses on erasing pay equity by adjusting legitimate pay difference factors. While previously the law only specified against sex discrimination, this bill attempts to flesh out those specific bona fide reasons for pay differences. These differences include education, training, and experience, among others. This act would require employers to provide reasonable accommodations related to an employee's pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition so long as such accommodations do not disrupt or place an undue hardship on the employer's normal operations.
