Danna Hayes serves as the Maine State Director at SiX. Prior to joining SiX, Danna was the Director of Public Policy for the Maine Women’s Lobby and the Maine Women’s Policy Center. While with the Lobby and Policy Center, Danna advocated for policies to help women live free from violence and discrimination; increase access to health care and create greater economic security. After law school graduation, Danna spent two years clerking in New Hampshire Superior Courts. Upon completion of her clerkship she worked as a community organizer, advocating for policy solutions to hunger and poverty with the Preble Street Maine Hunger Initiative. Danna is a graduate of Temple University and Vermont Law School. She lives with her husband and son on the beautiful coast in Bath, Maine.
