Ian Pfeiffer serves as the Maryland State Director for SiX, bringing over two decades of political and policy experience to our efforts. Prior to SiX, Ian was the Principal at Pfeiffer Government Relations, a lobbying firm designed to offer small technology companies, municipalities and non-profit organizations cost-effective, hands-on advocacy services in Washington, DC. In addition, he was twice elected to the Annapolis City Council, where he worked to enact progressive policies in Maryland’s Capital City. Before that, Ian served as a legislative advisor to U.S. Representatives Mark Udall and Bob Filner. He also served as a National Board Member of Democratic Municipal Officials, a constituency organization of the Democratic National Committee. Ian received a Master’s in Public Administration and Policy from the Bloustein School at Rutgers University and his B.A. in Political Science from Sonoma State University. Ian resides in Annapolis with his wife and two children.
