Lee serves as Senior Program Assistant at SiX. Lee supports the Senior Vice President, State Strategy and Services with a variety of programmatic administrative support needs. Before joining SiX, Lee worked at the intersections of government, education and hospitality, as part of culinary workforce development program First Course NYC. Prior to the First Course NYC, Lee worked in K-12 education and organized restaurant workers with Restaurant Opportunities Center in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. They were also one of the founding members of the New England branch of ROC.
Lee earned their bachelor’s from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI and has completed some coursework toward a master’s in Food Studies at New York University. In their spare time, Lee is active with their city council district; a member of their local community board in Brooklyn; and a volunteer strategic planning consultant for Double Trellis Food Initiative, a food sovereignty nonprofit in their hometown of Philadelphia, PA.
