State Innovation Exchange and Pennsylvania State Lawmaker to Host Discussion on Education Funding and the State Budget

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa.  State Representative Austin Davis, D-Allegheny County, will host a telephone town hall meeting this Thursday focused on a top priority in the coming budget debate: quality public schools and education funding. Pennsylvania residents will have the opportunity to hear about priorities for the state budget, how the process works and to ask questions.

The event is sponsored by the State Innovation Exchange and is open to the public and any members of the press. There will be three more telephone town halls over the coming weeks, all focused on priorities for the state’s budget:

  • Thursday, May 24, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Raising Wages with Rep. Patty Kim, D-Dauphin County, and Sen. Art Haywood, D-Philadelphia County
  • Thursday, May 31, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Infrastructure Investments and Putting Pennsylvanians Back to Work with Rep. Perry Warren, D-Bucks County
  • Thursday, June 7, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Access to Affordable Health Care with Rep. Maureen Madden, , D-Montono County, and the PA Budget and Policy Center
