State Innovation Exchange (SiX) is proud to join the #Listen2Workers campaign and invites state legislators across the country to take action and sign the #Listen2Workers pledge.
Launched by our partners EPIC in collaboration with SEIU California, BlackECE, Caring Across Generations, Southern Economic Advancement Project and allies, the #Listen2Workers campaign is focused on the stories of workers– their lives, struggles, hopes, and ideas for change– and the power possible when workers and state legislators work in collaboration towards brighter futures. The campaign shares a simple message: show up for the working class, listen regularly, and develop policies that reflect their wants and needs.
Through videos, forums, and written pieces, we aim to build shared power between state legislators and workers—caregivers, cashiers, cooks, farmworkers, and any other blue-collar workers— starting with the most powerful thing: listening.
We invite state legislators to join our campaign by signing the #Listen2Workers pledge:
Once signed, the #Listen2Workers campaign team will follow up to help coordinate and promote your interview and to provide technical assistance towards shared policy goals.
SiX is a multi-issue organization established ten years ago, dedicated to supporting and empowering state legislators across all fifty states. Our goal is to build long-term, people-centered governing power that promotes justice. Central to our approach is collaborative governance, also known as “co-governance” or “shared power," which is a governing model that gives historically marginalized groups a seat at the decision-making table alongside elected officials. The #Listen2Workers campaign strengthens this connection between workers and policymakers, fostering policy innovations that reflect workers' experiences.
