WASHINGTON, D.C. — More than 500 progressive state legislators and legislative staff from across the nation will gather in Washington, D.C. as part of the State Innovation Exchange’s fourth annual legislator conference. These state lawmakers, who are on the front lines of the resistance and policy making efforts across the country will gather to discuss and find solutions to some of the most pressing issues impacting the country as well as plan new strategies to further resist the efforts of the Trump administration.
The conference will take place between Sunday, October 8, and Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and will be open to press.
This year’s conference will be the largest gathering of progressive state leaders in Washington, D.C., since President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Key topics of discussion will include: health care, immigration, education, energy, economic inequality, racial justice, reproductive justice, and more.
