Pennsylvania State Lawmakers to Host Live Telephone Town Hall on Raising Wages and the State Budget

HARRISBURG, Penn. — Pennsylvania State Rep. Patty Kim and Sen. Art Haywood will host a telephone town hall meeting this Thursday focused on raising wages and boosting revenue for the state budget. Pennsylvania residents will have the opportunity to hear about how the lawmakers want to grow the economy and create good jobs by raising wages and fighting for a budget that works for working families.

The event is sponsored by the State Innovation Exchange and is open to the public and any members of the press. There will be two more telephone town halls over the next two weeks, also focused on priorities for Pennsylvania’s budget:

  • Thursday, May 31, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Infrastructure Investments and Putting Pennsylvanians Back to Work with Rep. Perry Warren, D-Bucks County
  • Thursday, June 7, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Access to Affordable Health Care with Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Montono County
