Kia Woods (she/her) is a nonprofit executive leader with nearly two decades of experience building the organizational infrastructure that helps mission-driven organizations grow, adapt, and sustain their impact. As Chief of Staff, Managing Director, and previously Deputy Director at Black Feminist Future, she became known for translating bold vision into clear operational goals and actionable timelines. Her expertise spans people and culture, finance, administration, governance, and operations, where she strengthens systems and compliance, aligns strategy with execution, and creates the conditions for employees to do their best work. She believes lasting impact begins with strong internal foundations rooted in intentional culture, sound governance, effective systems, and people-centered leadership.
Grounded in a commitment to joyful, inclusive leadership and embodied practice, Kia believes leadership must center those most marginalized while daring to build new structures rooted in care, creativity, and collective power. She has also held leadership roles with the Community Justice Action Fund, The League, and other mission-driven organizations, overseeing organizational development, resource mobilization, human resources, and major convenings. Committed to continuous learning, she is currently completing a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership.
