Eme Crawford brings over 15 years of diverse communications study and practice to her role as SiX Senior Director, Communications where she collaborates with national and state partners and works to advance SiX’s narrative and amplify legislators in the press. Prior to joining SiX, Eme served as the Director of Communications for the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network, South Carolina’s premier organization advancing women’s rights where she was responsible for strategic communications, public relations, marketing, branding, community engagement programming, membership growth, events, presentations, public education, and grassroots mobilization activities. Eme earned her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in Rhetoric and Composition and an M.A. in 19th-Century American English, and serves on the Board of Directors for Metropolitan Child Advocacy Center and Emerge South Carolina.
